Who we are
M&M Full Service Auto & Tire is a tire and auto-service shop in Cahokia Heights, Illinois, operated by M&M Auto Service II, LLC. This policy covers mmautotires.com and the information we collect when you visit the shop, call us, or book with us online.
If you'd rather not read the rest: we collect your name, a way to reach you, and what's wrong with your vehicle. We use it to do the work and to tell you if your appointment moves. We don't sell it to anyone.
What we collect
What you give us. Depending on what you're doing on the site:
- Reserving a tire or wheel: your name, phone number, and email if you give us one.
- Booking a service appointment: the same, plus the vehicle (year, make, model), the service you want, your preferred time, how you'd like us to contact you, and any note you write.
- Mobile delivery and install: the above plus the street address where we're bringing the tire.
- Calling the shop: your phone number, and if you leave a voicemail, a recording and a written transcript of it.
What we never see. If you pay by card, the card number goes straight to our payment processor. It does not touch our systems and we don't store it. We see the last four digits and whether the charge went through — the same thing that's printed on your receipt.
What comes automatically. Like nearly every website, ours records basic technical information: your IP address, browser and device type, which pages you looked at and when, and the site that sent you to us. See cookies and tracking below.
At the shop. The property has security cameras covering the bays and the lot. Footage is used for safety and for resolving disputes about work or property, nothing else.
Why we collect it
- To hold the tire you reserved and to have your bay ready when you arrive.
- To call or text you when your vehicle is done, or if we hit something unexpected.
- To tell you if we have to move your appointment — the main reason we ask for a contact preference at all.
- To keep a service history, so next time we know what we put on the car and when.
- To take payment, and to handle a return or a warranty claim.
- To keep the site working and to see which pages people actually use.
- To meet legal and tax obligations — Illinois requires us to keep certain records about tire sales and disposal.
We do not run targeted advertising off your service history, and we do not build profiles about you beyond what's needed to do the work and keep the records.
Texts, calls and email
When you book online we ask how you want to hear from us — text, a phone call, email, or any combination. Nothing is pre-selected beyond a text, and you can change it by telling us.
- These are service messages about your booking. We don't send marketing blasts to appointment numbers.
- Reply STOP to any text to stop them. Reply HELP for help.
- To stop the calls, tell whoever you talk to at the shop, or call us at (618) 332-8488.
- Opting out of texts and calls doesn't cancel your appointment — but it does mean we can only reach you by phone in person, so leave us a working number.
Email confirmations go out through a third-party sending service. If you reply to one, it comes to us at sales@mmautotires.com.
How long we keep it
Service and sales records stay on file for at least seven years, because tax law, warranty claims and Illinois tire-disposal recordkeeping all reach back that far — and because a customer asking “what did you put on my truck in 2024?” deserves a real answer.
Voicemail recordings and their transcripts are kept for 90 days. Security-camera footage is overwritten on a rolling basis, typically within 30 days, unless it's been pulled for a specific incident.
Your choices
- Ask us what we have on you. Call the shop or email us and we'll tell you.
- Ask us to correct it — a wrong phone number helps nobody.
- Ask us to delete it. We'll delete what we're not legally required to keep; sales and tax records we have to hold on to, and we'll tell you which those are.
- Ask us to stop texting or calling (see above).
- Decline to give us an email address entirely. A phone number is the only thing we genuinely need to hold a tire or a bay for you.
Some states give residents additional formal rights over their personal information. If you live somewhere with those laws, contact us and we'll honour the request the same way — we don't think it's worth arguing about where you live.
Security
The site runs over HTTPS. Customer records live in a hosted database behind authentication, and only shop staff who need it can open the admin side — access is per-person and per-area, so a tire tech doesn't see the same screens as the office.
No system is perfect, and we're not going to pretend otherwise. If we ever learn that customer information has been exposed, we'll tell the people affected.
Children
This site is for people buying tires and vehicle service. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, call us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and move the date at the top. Material changes — a new category of data, a new company we share with — get called out here rather than slipped in.
Questions, or want us to look up what we hold on you? Call (618) 332-8488 or email sales@mmautotires.com. Our returns and warranty policy covers what happens if something you bought doesn't work out.
